A SERIOUS ALLEGATION. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, May 1. The Hospital and Charitable Aid Board received a letter from the Auckland Tramways Sick and Accident Fund committee asking for an inquiry into the circumstances of the deatli in hospital of one of its members treated for appendicitis who died of tetanus the allegation being made that the member was placed in tho same ward as a tetanus patient. Dr. Inglk, hospital surgeon, asserted that the latter statement was absolutely untrue. He realised the serious charge made and the staff would welcome an inquiry. The Board appointed a committee to investigate the case, the inquiry to be open to the press.
