CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR.

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.

The Executive Committee of the South Taranaki C.E. Union, met in the Primitive Methodist Church last evening. There were present: Rev. Metson (president), Rev. Burley (vice-president), secretary, treasurer, and delegates from Patea, Ivakaramea, Nonnanby, New Plymouth, Primitive Methodist, and the two Stratford societies.

The suggestions made at the annual, rally at Hawera on Good Friday were placed before the Committee. Mr. Russell’s suggestion that the future rallies commence at 1.30 p.m. instead of 2.30 p.m., and one hour be allotted for business purposes, was adopted. Also, that an Anal reports from each society in the Union be forwarded to the Executive Committee at the last meeting previous to the rally. The reports to be summarised by the secretary and read at the annual rally. ' Rev. Metson’s suggestion that a superintendent be appointed to organise and assist junior societies, was adopted, provided that a suitable person would be forthcoming. Re Mr. Dixon’s suggestion that the surpr’so visits between societies be discontinued, and that societies be notified of any intended visit, the executive decided to take no action, as it considered this matter was of a purely local nature, and not one for the Union to consider. It was decided to hold the mid-win-ter rally at New Plymouth some time in August, the date to be arranged by the New Plymouth societies. The local officials, together with Rev. Hales, of New Plymouth, were appointed a committee to arrange a programme. Delegates were appointed from the Executive Committee to vitfit societies in the Union and to report at the next executive meeting.
