GAOL BREAKING.
NEW PLYMOUTH MAN LEAVES TERRACE PRISON. SEARCH PARTIES OUT. (Per Press Association.) ■;'< Wellington, April 25. • About 3 o’clock this afternoon a prisoner named John Lewis escaped from Mount Cook prison works. He was .working in a, brickyard, and escaped by climbing a wall. Lewis was recently 'released from New Plymouth prison, but was only two days a free man when'be again came before the Court si He- is about 3G years of age, sft Gin in. height, and of dark complexion. Parties are out endeavouring to recapture him.
