BOXER’S BODY RECOVERED. (Received 25, 10.20 a.m.) New York, April 21. The body of Lcsi ie Williams, Welsh bantam-weight boxer, was recovered and was interred at New York. STOKEHOLE MEN DESERT. (Received 25, 10.20 a.m.) London, April 21. ■ The steamer Olympic, with fourteen hundred passengers, was detained for an hour at Southampton through firemen and stokers deserting, alleging that soma of the collapsible boats were u nsea worll ly. Mr Curry, local manager for the White Star Co., declared that all the boats had been officially examined and passed. Other firemen were engaged immediately. THE AMERICAN INQUIRY. (Received 25, 10.20 a.m.) London, April 24. In the House of Commons Mr Acland, replying to several questions, said he was not aware of the precedent on which, the Senate was holding an inquiry into the Titanic disaster, although Congress had power to investigate and summon witness if circumstances arose. If witnesses desired protection the Ambassador would be instructed, but he trusted to the good sense of the Senate and the American people.
