SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

MIDHIRST. At the householders meeting on Monday evening the following were elected a committee for the ensuing year: Messrs Win, Mountford (re-elected chairman), J. Jacobsen, W. Hamiblyn, I). Brown, F. Carter, J. Shatter, C. Seabright. WHANGAMOMONA. The following committee was elected T. A. Bradley (chairman), R. G. Fawkucr, L. T. Aylward, Agost Agostineli, Fred. London, Thos. Sutherland, H. C. Strombon. , MAHOE. Quite a fair number of householders attended at school on Monday night for the annual election of a School Committee, Mr Astbury was voted to the chair. The report for tiie year ending 31st March, which showed a credit balance of £22, was adopted as read. Messrs Astbury, Barley man, Bennett, Buhner, Colson, Hovind, Ross, Whittington, Wilson, and Wishart wore then nominated, and as onlv seven were required to form a* committee a ballot was taken, which resulted : A. Colson 10, J. Whittington 9, T. Wilson 9, S. Bennett 8, D. L. A. Astbury 8, G. Barleyman 8, W. Wishart 8, J. T. Ross 6, J. Hovind 6, A. Buhner G. The first seven were declared elected. Mr Astbury was reelected chairman for, the eighteenth consecutive term. PEMBROKE. Only two householders attended and tiie meeting lapsed. TARIKI. Ten householders were present. Messrs. J. Therklesen, Coutts, and Blanchard were nominated to the committee. Others present refused nomination. Another was desired. HUJRANGI. K'glil householders attended, Mr. J. H. Sm tli presiding. A resolution was pissed recommending that the .affairs of_ the school he attended to by commissioners as. at present, but that the mime of T. V. Andrew? oe suggested in lieu of Mr. Beveridge, who wished to retire.
