THE MAYORAL ELECTION
(To the Editor “Stratford Post.”)
Sir, —In your issue of last evening, Mr R. McK. Morison makes certain statements with respect to myself, which I am, in self defence, bound to notice. I flatter myself that my memory is quite as good as Mr Morison’s, and when he called on me instead of the encouragement he professes to have received, I told him plainly enough that I had been pressed to stand but had not then decided and would not decide until I saw what support he (Mr Morison) was likely to get.
I shall deal fully with the matter on Monday night, and, in the meantime, shall only add that Mr Morison has an extraordinary method of showing those high principles he professes to be guided by.—Yours, etc., j. McAllister.
