THE TOWN HALL.
(To the Editor, “Stratford Post.”) Sir,—With your kind permission, avc wish to draw attention to the motion moved by Councillor Paget at the last Jouncil meeting. Cr. Paget moved that, as Messrs Drake and Mercer had refused to sign the contract on the terms offered them, the matter be brought up again at next meeting. Very likely Cr. Paget is not aware that avo have had no agreement offered for signature. All we have'had Avas a three-lined note from the Town Clerk, asking if the terms Avcro satisfactory to us. On seeing the Town Clerk, and telling him that there AA’as one clause left out, be said that was thoroughly understood, and he would send us an agreement in a couple of days for signature. No agreement lias come to hand, so surely Cr. Paget does not think that avc have time to run after the Council for nothing, when we are paying dearly for the Hall, and have eight worthy councillors’ word that we have the Hall for the season. Also, we wish to draw Cr. Paget’s attention to the fact that Ave are using nothing but composition and Avood rollers and not steel rollers, as the late skating rink started using. Thanking yon for your valuable space. We are, etc., MERCER AND DRAKE.
