RAILWAY EXPENDITURE.
CABINET AUTHORISATIONS. (Per Press Association.'] Wellington, April 16. At a meeting of Cabinet yesterday, approval was given to the expenditure of £1495 for Government railway workshops machines, and £19,375 for the purchase of rolling stock. It was decided to place an order for ten locomotives. The lowest tender war; accepted for the erection of the pott office at Temuka.
