The contents were insured as follows: Walling, hairdresser and tobacconist, £l5O in the Guardian; Curacy, basket-maker, £IOO in the Victoria; Miss Cooper, florist, £2OO in the Australian; Manning, £4OO iri the Commercial Union. The other tenants were uninsured.

The budding at Hatadai in which Cope, storekeeper, carried on business, was owned by Air AV. H. S. Moorehouse and was insured in the Guardian office for £IOSO and thi contents in the Standard for £IOBO.
