New York, April 14. The suffragettes in Chicago are bitterly opposing Mr. Roosevelt’s candidature in consequence of h.s attitude towards women’s suffrage, against white, ho spoke during the Illinois State elections.

Mr. Roosevelt carried almost twothirds of the 7(3 delegates in Pennsylvania State. At the . Republican Convention Messrs. Woodrow and Wilson secured most of the Democratic support. The total delegates supporting Mr. Taft are 340, and Mr. Roosevelt 190.
