DRAMTTO PROCEEDINGS. (Per Press Association.) Wanganui, April 11. A meeting of the borough council ended dramatically last evening. At a previous meeting, when two avowed opponents of the motion were unavoidably absent, tho council decided by a majority of one that the borough engineer's explanation of the charge made against him was not satisfactory. Notice was given by a councillor that ho would move at next meeting thai the resolution be rescinded. The mat ter came up this evening, when th< Mayor refused to accept the motion. Five councillors thereupon left tin table as a protest, and there not lie ing a quorum, the Mayor had tc adjourn the meeting.
