NEW GUN CLUB.
FOKMED AT MIDHIEST. A meeting was neTd in the Midhirst hotel last evening for the purpose of forming a Midhirst Gun Club. About twenty attended, including Messrs. G. I). Hunter and H. Campbell, of the Stratford Glim Club. Mr. Mountford proposed, and Mr. White seconded, that a gun club be formed in Midhirst, to be called the Midhirst Gun Club.—Carried. Mr. Seabright jv&e appointed secretary and treasurer, The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr J. McCluggage; president, Mr. R. J. Hogg; vice-presidents, Messrs. P. Harkness. A. Richmond. J. Shotter, W. Hamblyn, J. Carter, J. Kowalewski, X. Kowalewski, F. Uhlenburg, W. Mountford, J. O'Coniipll; committee, Messrs. W. White, J. Carte:-, J. Shotter, W. Hamblyn, L. Rodgers, S. McKenzie, K. Gray. Mi-. W. White was appointed chairman of committee. The annual •subscription was fixed at ss, and it was decided to affiliate with the N.Z. (Jim CI rib . A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Messrs. G. D. Hunter and H. Oampbell, of the Stratford Gan Club, for attending the meeting and giving all information required. Before leaving Mr. Hunter kindly donated 10s 6d to the club's funds, for which he was heartily thanked by all present. About twenty names were handed in to /he secretary as active members, and a short time should see the club at work at the traps.
