GOVERNOR'S PROMPT ACTION

Suva, April 9. Tn distributing prizes won at the rifle meeting on Monday night, the Governor made an important state-l.-.tnt, showing the view that Imperial officers held during the crisis. He said that last September he had communicated with his provincial officers, urging preparation for grave contingencies. His audience would kiio-i that he referred to the situation created in Morocco and the resultant probability of war. He exhorted the riflemen to take their duties ly.
