(Per Press Association.) Napier, March 28. The rateable value of tiie borough of Napier for the year ended Marca 31st, 19i3, is set down at £121,297, an increase of £3571 on this year. The capital value of borough property is roughly estimated at £1,9U0,u00. In connection with the Auckland wire to the effect that the payment of 15 guineas by the Harbour Hoard to the Employers’ Association has been passed by the Audit Department, it is worthy of note that the following tag. appears on the Hawke’s Hay County Council balance sheet for 19U8:.“A payment £3 3s to Employers’ Association is without authority of law.” / Carterton, March 28.
