Mr. P. F. Ralfo left on Wednesdayevening for Raglan, where he expects to stay about six months. The Rev. J. M. Thomson, M.A., at present in charge of the Presbyterian Church in ■ Stratford, has received a call to Foxton.

Yesterday Mr. Newton King’s staff met a team from “Rpsegrove” at cricket, and after each side had gone through two innings, the score stood at 61 all. Sharpe (34) was the only double-figure scorer for “Rosegrove,’ and East (15) and E. Kivell (12) were top scorers for King’s staff.

The sheep-guessing competition held in connection with the Toko Farmers’ Picnic and Sports held on Thursday last resulted as follows Mr. E. Kel■leher and Miss Etnel Abbott guessed the exact weight (2141 b), Miv;Kclleher not wishing to take the prize 'from the ladv, generously handed. it over to Miss" Abbott.
