MR MASSEY'S VISIT.
I no visit of the Leader of the Opposition and other prominent members of bis Party, is doubtless an honour to fne district and Stratford will, as it always has done, be pleased to meet him, and to hear him' from the platform this evening. It is some time since Mr Massey was in Stratford, aild we do not think he has previously visited the back country of Mr J. B. Hine’s constituency. To-day his programme has bobn a pretty full one, and he has been, well received at Toko, Xgairenand (Other centres. To-night the Town Hall is sure to be taxed to its utmost to jiear the fe'peeclimaking, and to-morrow Sir Massey is to visit Kohuratahi and Whangamomona, where he is expected to speak also. At the function in the Town Hall it is intended to mark appreciation of Mr Hine’s services as Member for Stratford by a presentation and his personal popularity is such that the affair is bound to be a success. We trust Mr Massey’s visit to Stratford may be a pleasant one, and that our rather fickle weather Gods may prove kind.
