CRICKET.
PUBLIC WORKS Y. POHOKURA. , Cricket matches have become quite frequent lately, and show no signs of slackening. The Public Works after beating the Banks and then i again on Saturday decisively ousting a team gathered from somewhere near Pohokura, consider, they are quite the equal of Newton King’s staff, who., have to their credit the honour; of beating their New Plymouth staff, as well as,'overborn!ng the formidable team composed of the Railway and Post Office departments of the Civil Service. A match will probably he 'arranged ; to* decide “this interesting point.., The following.is more.or less the details of the PAV.’s match with Pohokura on Saturday. We do not, however, guarantee the averages or indeed the correctness of the names, for the scorer appears to have found the game somewhat exciting:-
