Lord Charles Beresford, in a letter to the “Times,” says Mr Churchill would have been wiser if he had mapped out a policy of defence of the Empire calling in the help of the Dominions without reference to any power. He complimented Mr Churchill on the new war organisation of the Homo fleet. He states that our low margin in the first fighting line as compared with Germany and Austria in 1915 involves the risk of a reverse.
