WESLEY CHURCH.
THE MISSION SERVICES. Wesley Church was filled at the morning and evening services yesterday on the occasion of the mission conducted by the Rev. C. E. Beecroft. The services were of an inspiring nature. The morning address was on the possibilities open to the Christian who would live up to the privileges o'f his profession, and that in the evening a fresh, masterly, and searching treatment of the old theme, “What think ye of Christ?” The mdssioner was listened to with attention and as point after point was emphasised in the most charmingly •simple, yet eloquent language, it was evident that a deep impression was made on his hearers. He announced that everything in the nature of sensationalism would be avoided during the mission. It was a mission of inspiration and appeal; of inspiration, he trusted, by the Holy Spirit, and of appeal to the reason and consciences of the people of this town. The services will be continued throughout the week, beginning each evening at 7.30 o’clock.
