Captain Amundsen has arrived, and visited Mr. Fisher. Ho declines any further particulars of the journey, moxestly declaring that he reached the Pole by luck. CAPTAIN SCOTT’S EXPEDITION. Melbourne, March 22. Captain Amundsen states that he will not lecture in New Zealand, because he considers that is Captain Scott’s ground. He thinks Captain Scott will arrive in Lyttelton next ■week. S . AMUNDSEN’S DEFICIT. (Received 23, 1.5 p.m.) Melbourne, March 28. . Amundsen states that he has a heavy financial deficit, but is confident that the Norwegian Government and people will make good.
