STRATFORD LIBERAL LEAGUE.

At a meeting of the Stratford Liberal League held last evening, a resolution was carried unanimously that hearty congratulations be extended to Sir Joseph Ward on the statesmanlike manner he has conducted the affairs of this Dominion during the period of his being Premier, as evidenced by the buoyancy of the finances and general prosperity of the country in general. The League also considered it would bo a national calamity if Sir Joseph Ward retired from the leadership of the Liberal Party at the present juncture, as lie undoubtedly retains the confidence of the majority of the people of New Zealand.
