WANGANUI'S EX-MAYOR HAS A FEAV WORDS TO SAY. BOROUGH COUNCIL BLAMED. (Per Press Association.) Wanganui, March 18. Another act in taie municipal drama which lias been attracting so much attention during the past few weeks was played this evening, when exMay or Mack ay addressed an overflowing meeting in the Druids’ Hall. Mr. M'ackay recently resigned as a protest against councillors failing to support him when, in open council, lie brought forward a resolution that they had agreed in committee to ask the" borough engineer to resign. After Mr. Mackay had explained his reasons for resigning, tracing the trouble from the beginning, it was resolved that the' Borough Councillors he asked to resign and offer themselves for re-election, at the same time as the Mayoral election is held.
