(Received 18, 9.35 a.m.) Sydney, March 18. The police have made ten arrests in connection with the recent burglaries. Mr. McGowen has prepared an article for publication in a London paper showing that the New South Wales population during the decade ended 1910 increased by 300.060, the value of trade from 56 to 80 million, and hank deoosits from 43 to 82 millions. Owners of plantations in Papua intend to import Javanese labour, as insufficient native labour is offering. The Seddons are passengers by the Maunganui. (Received 18, 1.5 p.m.) Melbourne, March 18.
