Sydney, March 15
Tn the Equity Court the Marat ini e Wireless Company sought to restrain the Australasian Wireless Company from publishing threats of legal proceedings for alleged infringement oi patent rights, and allso asked that an account should he taken of the damages sustained by reason of the threats and that defendants be ordered to pay same.
The case was adjourned, an interim injunction being granted. Hobart, March 15.
The Norwegian barque Farsund is ashore at North End Gape, Barren Island. She was bound from Buenos Aires to Sydney in ballast. The captain, who has arrived at Launceston, reports that on Sunday the vessel .struck a reef during thick weather. A gale was blowing and the sea was rough, and there was much difficulty in launching a- boat, the crew only succeeding after two boats had been smashed. Eventually the crew of sixteen got ashore in the third boat. Next day the crew returned to the vessel. Efforts to refloat her being unsuccessful, they left the mate in charge. During the voyage a sailor was lost overboard.
