LONDON PRODUCE-MARKET. Following is the report (dated February Ist) received by Mr Newton | King from Messrs It. and W. Davidson, Glasgow:— ■ '' ’ ■ Continental.—The market this week has been quietly steady, there being fairly good demand .for strictly'choic- | est quality winch was well cleared. Telegraph ic advices yesterday from Copenhagen state that the market there is firm and the quotation to-day has been declared unchanged. Danish and Swedish: The total arrivals of Danish this week show an increase of 3912 casks. There was a good steady demand and stocks have been well cleared at practically unaltered prices. Choicest qualities 134 sto 1355.- Siberian : The arrivals this week were again very small totalling only about 1000 casks. There has been a fair demand for fresh made winter butter, choicest quality realising 12Ss to 130 s, finest last season’s may be quoted 124 s to 1265, with secondary descriptions very scarce at 118 s to 1225. Advices just to hand from Siberia indicate that the price ruling there is equal to 132 s landed in this country. There is, however, very little being bought on British account, Germany, at the moment practically taking the whole make. Colonial Butters.—Australian : The arrivals this week are fairly' liberal, comprising s.s. Mongolia' with 36,948 boxes, s.s. Norseman with 14,200, s.s. Moravian 5,200, and s.s.‘ Kent 4124, showing a grand total of 60,472 boxes. New Zealand; The s.s. Re•nuera with 53,930 boxes is now busy discharging. There is only a moderate demand for her butters; prices if anything are inclined to give -way a little. We quote strictly choicest quality 130 sto 131 s. Imports to the United Kingdom:—-’The total figures up to lamiary 27th of this year, and for the corresponding period of 1909, 1910, and '9ll are as follows,: 1909, 319,719 cwts; 1910, 350,805 cwts; 1911, 406,' 081 cwts; 1912, 384,903 cwts. Choose.—Canadian : The demand at the moment is rather quiet but prices remain unchanged, choicest whit© and coloured 73s to 745. New Zealand: There is a fair demand and arrivals move steadily into consumption, prices aro unchanged, choicest white and coloured 72s to 735. Imports to the United Kingdom: The’total figures up to January 27th of this year, and for the corresponding period of 1909, 19.10, and 1911, are as follows: 1909, 103,247 cwts; 1910, 90,707 cwts; 1911, 117,030 cwts; 1912, 141,486 cwts.
