NAPIER PARK RACES

The Napier Park Racing Club’s autumn meeting opened to-day in dull weather. The track was in good order. There was a large attendance, the tote investments being £12,231, as against £11,274 for the first day of the last autumn meeting. Concluding results : ' J
Trial Hack Stakes, of GO sovs; 6 furlongs.—Marimba. ,1, Ngakau 2, Chief Marshall 3. Also started: War Talk and Monella. Won by three lengths, the third horse six lengths away. Time, Imin 10 3-sseo.
Welter Handicap, of 100 sovs; 7 furlongs.—Ardfert 1, San Pluic 2, Culh’uan 3. Also started: Goldfinder, Montiform, Golden Water, Master Stead. Won by a nose, a length between second and third. Time, linin 20sec.
Sapling Stakes, of 100 sovs; 5 furlongs.—Ebeceue 1, Master Kilcheran 2, King’s Favourite 3. Also started: Bon Bon, Evadnc, Sir Daniel, Warlight, Lockwood, The Nile, and Elevator. Won by a length and a half, the same between second and third. Time, Imin 2sec.
Redclyffe Hack Welter, of 90 sovs: 1 mile.—Mangaroa 1, Moutoa Girl 2, St.. Goz6'3. ■ Also started; Fleet Week, Bcrcola, Prince Eddie, Rising Sim, Happy New Year, Grandee and Missile. Won by a length and a kidf, a good third. Time, Imin 42 3-sseo.
Flying Handicap, of 100 sovs; 6 furlongs;—Lord Possible 1, Maori King 2, Faunus 3. Also started: Sublime, < Gold Battery, Easy and Winning Post. Won by' three lengths, third horse a length away. Time, Imin 16 1-usec. Greenmeadows, March 14. The weather was line and the attendance large for the second day’s races. Results:— Omahu Hurdles.—Seaman 1, Fond Memory 2, Merrie Lad 3." 1 All started. Wen by a full length. Time, 2rain 48 3-ssec. Telegraph Hack. —Thrave 1, Makara 2, Park Tide' 3. Won by three lengths. Scratched : Stellaris, Master : tlStead.. Time, Imin 16sec. Close Memorial.—Aberbrothock 1, ' "'Vi 2. Sublime S.' A good start and a fine finish, the first five being all within a length. Aberbrothock went to the front at the back of the course, Yi J, V light 2, Daybreak 3. Won all the way by tine© lengths. All started. Time, 55 4-osec.
