FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR AMUNDSEN. PROPOSED PRFESSORSHIP. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) Christiana, March 13. Tho Budget Committee in the Storthing is considering the proposal of a professorial chair to bo established for Captain Amundsen in the University of Christiana. The Premier announced that the Government was proposing a grant to Captain Amundsen to enable him to carry out his Arctic exploration scheme. The Norwegian Geographical Society has appealed to tho public to support tho subscription list to defray the costs of the South Polar expedition.
