Macalister, as treasurer, failed to keep the books, and desired to get hold of Laver’s din order to give the Board information. It was afterwards offered to show Macalister the hooks in order to dispel any grounds for insinuation that something might he wrong. Macalister then replied that he did not want them, but as Laver was disloyal, he would not confirm his appointment as manager.
