Trains sufficient to transport twenty thousand troops are ready at Aidershot for an immediate start. PREMIER DENIES SOCIALISM. (Received 5, 11.15 a.m.) London, March 4.Replying to Mr Bouar Law, the Premier denied the .statement by Mr Davis, a .strike delegate, that the Government would make themselves ■responsible for a minimum wage for all- industries. Ho said lie was not ■in the habit of having sly flirtations with Socialism. The obstacle to settlement was the amount of the minimum. The owners raised a number of ■formidable objections to the men’s .schedule and urged that many pits would have to be closed. It was impossible that the Government should ask Parliament to coerce owners into •accepting the very figures of the minimum. He warned the miners of ith© enormous responsibility of entering the course they bad determined on. The Government felt compelled to pursue a vigorous examination of the figures given by both parties.
