Butter.—The market is lifeless with poor, demand. The average price for the week for choicest N.Z. butter war 1295, Australian 1255, Argentine 1255, Danish 138 s, Siberian 1275. Cheese.—The market is firm. There is a good demand. The average price for the week for finest N.Z. cheese per ewt is: White 72s Gd, coloured 725. Hemp.—The market as steady but the demand is only moderate. N.Z. good fair grade £2l ICs, fair grad? £2O 10s (forward shipment at .same price), fair current Manila £2l 10s, forward shipment fair current Manila £32. The output for the week from Manila was 13,000 bales. Wheat.-—The market is firm owing to reduced supply. N.Z. long-berried wheat on spot ex granary per quarter of 3811 b 2Gs Gd (nominal). Beans.—The market is firm owing to reduced supplies. N.Z. beans f.a.q. (old crop) per 50111) 38s (nominal). Peas.—The market is quiet with a tendency in favour of buyers. N.Z. pons (Partridge) per 5011 b 38s (nominal).
