There was a tricky south-east breeze, which upset the calculation; of the shooters, as it carried nasty eddies.

The Auckland Match at 300 and 500 yards, 10 shots were first taken. At tlie 300 yards range, Elliot (Akarana A), a tyro, took little notice of the wind and put up a possible.
