Prizefighter went oft at a great bat six lengths ahead of Comedy King, Trafalgar and Elavel. After a gap came Cacionia, Matourie, and Saxmute. Comedy King moved to the front and led past two abattoirs from Trafalgar, with Prizefighter three lengths away, and Elavel the same distance ahead of Cadonia, Matourie and Saxouite. Comedy King on the inside was passed by Trafalgar, who led into Utie (Straight and drew away easily from Comedy King, who was hard ridden. Trafalgar won by a length and a quarter. Cadonia made a very last run in pursuit, but was four lengths in roar. Time 2min 35sec. The winner Was wildly cheered in all parts of the ground. Brunswick Handicap.—Kurnell 1, Prince L ack 2, Draw Scot 3. Fifteen started. Braw Soot made the running and led into the straight from Wassail, Kurnell, Golden Point and Prince Lack. Wanganui, March 3. The Wanganui Jockey Club’s autumn meeting concluded yesterday. Light rain fell during the greater part of the day: The attendance was again large. The totalisator handled £25,662 as against £15,241 on the.second day of last year. The total for tlie meeting was £46,441, as against £31,309 last year. TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB. At a meeting of the Taranaki Jockey Club last week the Course Committee was instructed to proceed at once with alterations to the training tracks. It is the intention of the Hub to form a trial gallop next the rails immediately inside the course proper, where the plough is at present situated, and the plough will bo formed immediately inside the grass gallop thus answering as a fence.
