SWIMMING NOTES.
(By Ampin Bios.) Tlio committee of the Swimming Club met last night, when there was an excellent attendance, both of members of tlio committee and ex officio members.
It was reported that the arrangements for lighting for .March Ist had been completed. A light supper was arranged for competitors. General discussion ensued on a number of matters, everything being found to be in excellent train.
The following officers will have charge of affairs on Friday:—Starter, Mr. K. B. Stohr; timekeeper, Mr. •). I l '. Watson; referee, Dr. Carhery; diving judge, Mr. C. F. Sea bright; callstewards, Messrs. A. a J. Davey, I). J. Malone, and F. M. Marlow'; gatekeepers, Messrs. I). Finlay and I). ,J. Malone. A very excellent lighting scheme lias been adopted for Friday night, string of globes being stretched across the bath from corner to corner.
Altogether the lighting force will be nine hundred candle-power, and as the- light will lie clear and steady, every feature of the races should lie plain to everybody in the bath.
At the meeting of the committee last night a vote of thanks was passed to Messrs. McMillan and Frcdric for the loan of the necessary globes.
