Mackey, and Reid, and Messrs. H. W. Douglas, J. F. Anderson, W. Syme N. Templar, W. Stewart, and W. Findlay. Botomley’s Bothers ?—Pofla IQ :u VERY SEVERELY THRASHED IN THE STRAND. REFUSES TO PROSECUTE. (Received 27, 8.5 a.m.) London, February 28. As a result of a personal grievance, Aubrey Lowe severely thrashed Horatio Bottomley in the Strand. Bottomley declined to prosecute, although challenged. HEAVY FINE FOR CONTEMPT. (Received 27, 10.30 ,a.m.) London, February 27. Horatio Bottomley was fined £IOO for contempt of Court, in publishing a slanderous article in the newspaper “John Bull,” because the Prudential Assurance Company refused to participate in his bankruptcy scheme.
