A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the executive of the Stratford A. and P. Association was held in the secretary’s office last even ing. There were present: The presi dent (Mr. W. P. Kirkwood, in th< chair), R. Dingle, S. M. Porritt, H, Good, R. Masters, J. D. Healy, anc R. McK. Morison. It was decided that tenders be call ed for the leasing of the Shou Grounds. Particulars of the terms appear in another column. Special committees were elected as follows :—Grounds Committee, Messr; R. Dingle, S. M. Porritt, and G. S Hobbs; Building Committee, Messrs I. D. Healy and G. Sangster; Finance Committee, Messrs. W. P. Kirkwood R. Dingle, and R. Masters; Advertising Committee, Messrs. W. P. Kirkwood and R. Masters.
The matter of a porcli to the stewards’ room, and improvement to chimney, was referred to the Building Committee to report at next The .President explained that ho had aeon the stationmaster with regard tc the train services for the sports. The Association wanted a train from Te 'Vera and from New Plymouth to arrive in Stratford about 11 a.m. The stationmaster had advised him te write the Traffic Manager on the matter, and this had been done.
Messrs. Dingle and Malone were appointed a committee to supervise the gate for the gymkhana.
