Napier, February 22. All On, who, according to the cable, has been refused leave to appeal in forma pauperis was' .-convicted < for keeping a common gaming house and fined £2O. Messrs Dohin .’and, Ferguson brought the case before the Appeal Court in Wellington, when the Chief Justice referred to it as a “Comedy of Errors,” but refused to quash the conviction. Mr Jellicoe then appealed in forma pauperis with the result stated.
