IN THE COURTS.
(Per Press Association.) Auckland, February 22. In the Supreme Court, Mr Justice Edwards, commenting upon the number of ; cases of assault causing bodily harm, said: “I must try to keep tne streets clean and safe. Auckland must bo safe at all time’s.” On these charges he sentenced' Richard Vinos and Charles ,; G"oen to 18 months ’imprisonment each and George Orowther and Daniel Joseph Lane to two years.
