WOODVILLE MEETING

(Per "Pveoq 4ssr»eintion.) Woodvillo, February 21

The autumn meeting of the Woodvillo Jockey Club commenced to-day. Although there was a very high wind the Aveather Avas fine. The attendance "’ns satisfactory. Results:—

Maiden.—Haskayno 1, Master Kilcheran 2, Lockwood 3. Won very easily by three lengths. Time, Imin ISsec. Scratched : Miss Jean, Jockey Jack, Katipo, Blue Blouse, Merrimac. Hack Hurdles.—Stevens 1, Canadian 2, Waiputere 3. All started. Won comfortably by a length. Time, 3min 32sec.

DUNEDIN MEETING

Dunedin, February 21. 1 lie Dunedin Jockey .Club’s races opened to-dav. Results:—

Hurdles.—Gold Bird 1, Pinul 2, Rifle Range. Scratched: Jack Ashore. Won by three-quarters of a length. Gladbrook Handicap.—Daringdale 1, Peerless 2, Heroine 3. Scratched: Thrax, Larkspur. Won comfortably by nearly two lengths.
