At the Supremo Court to-day Peter Hugh Ferguson, a station hand at Ere when, / 'iaihape,'-was charged with assaulting his employer 1 s wife during her husband’s absence. The jury disagreed, and a now trial was ordered. Mr* Gilford Moore appeared for accused. The jury also disagreed in the case against . Albert Victor Vinsen, a married man, charged with carnal knowledge of. a girl under 16. ,Mr Louis Cohen appeared for accused. A new trial was ordered. • Dunedin, February 20. In the. Supremo Court to-day a decree nisi was granted in the divorce case Annie McCormack v. George McCormack, on the grounds of habitual drunkenness and failure to' support.
