HERR HOLLWEG EXPLAINS LORD HALDANE’S VISIT.
COMPREHENSIVE CONVERSATIONS.

.Herr Holhveg, in the Reichstag, said that though Lord Haldane was not authorised to conclude binding agreements, yet at the instance of the British Cabinet he had discussed points whereon the interests of the two countries came into contact, in order to establish a basis of relations of greater confidence. This exchange of views, which Germany gladly welcomed, continued the Chancellor, took place in the course of numerous exhaustive and frank' conversations, about which he was .unable to say more at the present.
