(Received 16, 1.5 p.m.) Sydney, February 16. Sir Henniker Heaton is arranging a cable chess match between tho Federal and British Parliaments. At the Totalisator Commission the secretary of the Victorian Amateur Club said he favoured the introduction of the totalisator. Judging from New Zealand’s experience lie thought it would greatly increase the prize money. Victorian racing was fairly clean but would be cleaner with the tote. The Rev. Mart on, of Canterbury, thought racing should be treated similar to other sports, betting being prohibited, but preferred the evils of the bookmaker to the seductive methods of the totalisator. 1 (Received 16, 11.5 a.m.) Hobart, 'February 16.
