There was good attendances of the public at the North Island band coptest this afternoon and evening.

The Tenor Trombone solo resultedT. Neighbours (Westport Garrison), 42, 1; F. Russell (Waihi Federal), 40, 2. J. Ramsford (Waihi Federal) 39, A. Birmingham (Wanganui City) 37, W. H. Palmer (Whangarei Municipal) 33, J. Richards (Gisborne City) 31, P. Morris (Gisborne City) 30.

The Bass Trombone solo resulted:— G. Humphrey 47 points, 1; Harwood, 30, 2. The only entries.

TEST SELECTIONS. The first test selection was held this evening. B grade test, “Les Huguenots” (Meyerbeer).—'Gisborne City, 90 points, 1 j-Whangarei Municipal, 86, 2; Wanganui City, 76, 3. A grade test, “Mascotte” (Audran). —Waihi Federal, 103, 1; Palmerston N. Municipal, 98, 2; Westport Garrison, 93, 3.
