The Wellington wool sales opened to-day. There was a large attendance of buyers, representing Bradford, American, and Continental houses. Competition was strong. It was clear in the early stages of the sale that rou gib inferior, and medium were down d to kl per lb, compared with late sale rates, ruling at lifjel to TRI per lb. Good wools suitable for America were keenly sought after at prices on a lower scale, realising about 10’d. Lambs’ wool was irregular in price, superior wools realising 9 ; ',d to 9fjd, mediums Sd to Bjjd- Inferior and seedy lambs brought bid to* 7(1.
