U.S. PRESIDENCY.
MR. ROOSEVELT BEING URGED
TO STAND
AN INFLUENTIAL DELEGATION

A dramatic attempt is being made at Chicago to persuade Mr Roosevelt to stand for the Presidency. Eight Governors and a number of delegates representing the twentyeight States met informally and appointed a committee to approach the ox-President and ask him to become a candidate.

Fx-Clovernor Joseph Folk withdrew his candidature for the Democratic nomination for the Presidency.
