SWIMMING.

At a meeting of the New Plymouth Swimming Club committee on f inlay, arrangements were made for the evening swimming sports, which arc to take place at the municipal baths next Friday evening. The secretary (Air. G. Hawkins) submitted a programme of events, which includes mixed dives, a couple of young ladies’ races, a boy's race, long diving, oOy'ds and /syds in-ter-club races. Boys will also compote for the Williams’ Memorial modal over a distance of about 50yds. There will ho no long distance events, but teams captained by the captain and vice-captain respectively will try conclusions in a relay' match. A HAWKE’S BAY TEAM. , (Per Press Association.) Napier, February 12. The following team will represent Hawke’s Bay in the championship swimming carnival at Christchurch : F. Seymour, G. Seymour, H. Walden, C. McLean, and AY. McCartney.
