DICKENS CENTENARY.
CELEBRATED THROUGHOUT GREAT BRITAIN. A LAUREL MEMORIAL. (Received 8, 9.15 a.m.) London, February 7. The Dickens centenary is being celebrated throughout the country by dinners, meetings, readings, and pageants at theatres. Floral tributes were placed on the grave by several members of the family and by Dickens Clubs in the United States and elsewhere. A laurel memorial was placed in Rochester Cathedral from Gadshill, Dickens’ home.
