EG.MONT RACING CLUB. Favoured with fine weather the first day of the Egmont Racing Club s summer meeting attracted a big concourse of people to the course at Hawera yesterday. The gate tak ngs were £196, or £3 less than the first day of last year, but the attendance was larger owing to the_ big increase iu the number of complimentary tickets issued. The sum of £11,907 was pat through the totalisator, compared with' £10,891 last year. Following are concluding results : .
