To-morrow, Mr. T. Lamason (late Lamason and Melville) will hold a fruit sale at the rooms, Broadway, at 1.30 sharp.
A reward is offered for information leading to recovery of a brown and white collie dog.
The backwardness of the summer season is used by Messrs. Morey and .Sou, in to-day’s issue as an argument in favour of ladies buying new dress fabrics for hot weather wear. A list of suitable materials is given along with prices. x The Taranaki Hardware Company have in stock all sizes of bamboo verandah sun blinds, also a useful article in the shape of a folding all-metal meat safe, guaranteed fly-proof. Call and inspect. Messrs. Young, Hobbs and Co.’s Strathmore stock sale will take place at their yards on Friday, 9th February. Entries to date appear in another column.
Miss M. E. Hunt, teacher of millinery and dressmaking, will resume lessons in the Foresters’ Hall on Tuesdays, from 9 a.m. to 5.80 p.m. Messrs. Gillies and Nalder hold a stock sale at the Glover Road yards, Hawera, on Friday, February 9th. Mr. Bernard McMaster, hotelkeeper, Toko, gives notice of application for transfer of license to Mr. William Abbott.
On Saturday next, February 10th, at 2.30 sharp, Mr. Newton King will sell a beautiful collection of Mr. Douglas Perrett’s oil, watbr colour, and pastel paintings. Notice of intention to apply for transfer of license from William Lovett to Norah Sullivan, is given in another column.
On Friday, February 9th, the N.Z. L. and M. Agency Co., Ltd., hold a ram fair at tin' Stratford yards, when 250 well-bred Romney, Lincoln, Bor-der-Leicester, and crossbred rams av ill be offered.
The supplementary burgesses roll closes to-morrow. All ratepayers desirous of voting at the forthcoming, noli, should, therefore, make sure that their names are included.
