The splendid acceptances received by the Taranaki Jockey Club for the Jrst day of the autumn meeting are a distinct compliment to tho handicapping of Mr. Morse, says the “News.” that gentleman’s adjustment of weights must have pleased owners and trainers, because defections from the list are very few.
