Present- prices, Australian 4jjd, River Plate 4:',d, other than Canterbury oijd. ■Beef.—The market remains firm. The supply is small, but constant. New Zealand hinds 4£d, fores 4d (nominal). Butter.—The market is steady, and is likely to remain so. Moderate supplies are coming forward from Denmark and Siberia. The average price for the .week for choicest New Zealand perkhvt.’, was 131 s, Australian 128 e, Argentine 1275, Danish 1355, Siberian 1295.
Cheese.—The market is steady, with good demand for all descriptions of white ;m(l coloured. Hemp.—Tlie market is quiet but steady.
